Why separate slipcovers?
In an attempt to be as accurate and collector-friendly as possible, we treat slipcovers as "releases with 0 discs". This allows us to track releases that have the same UPC or catalog number but are available in standard (no slipcover) and limited (with slipcover) editions. It also lets you indicate whether you have or need slipcovers for a release. If you buy something with a slipcover, check both matching items in the checklist: once for the case with the discs, and once for the cardboard that slips over said case.
Recording slipcovers in this manner also allows us to handle multiple slipcovers per single release, such as those from Vinegar Syndrome or Scream Factory.
What are the batteries for?
A checklist's "Q" column represents "quality" and measures how much you can trust that item's data. Empty batteries ( ) indicate missing (???) or questionable information. Half-full batteries ( ) represent complete data retrieved from unconfirmed sources (the internet, magazines, catalog listings, etc.). Full batteries ( ) reflect data that has been visually and physically verified by Morbus Iff or one of their trusted acquaintances. Unit counts for limited editions do not affect this rating; an item's entry can be fully verified even if we do not know the number of units made.
